Restaurants, galleries and businesses in the downtown Reno Arts District are bustling every first Thursday because of Art Walk Reno.
On October 2nd, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., see the works of local and regional artists on display in venues within the Arts District, between Liberty Street and Second Street, and Virginia Street and Arlington Avenue.
The walk officially begins at 5 p.m. at Liberty Fine Art Gallery, 100 West Liberty Street.
There, you can purchase a ticket, for $10, which includes a glass, raffle ticket and program for the evening.
Each month, someone will walk away with a $200.00 voucher good towards any piece of art shown in the walk. There will be food and drink specials from participating businesses along the way.
“It was tremendously exciting last month to see people from all parts of Reno enjoying emerging artists and each other’s company at stop after stop,” said Eric Brooks, art walk curator. “This month will prove to be even more exciting, with so much new art to discover.”
A portion of all proceeds from Art Walk Reno will be donated to non-profit groups focused on art, education, and community.
Art Walk Reno is part of Art Spot Reno, the main portal for accessing information about what’s happening in Reno, Nevada’s dynamic arts scene.
