Restaurants, galleries and businesses in the downtown Reno Arts District are bustling every first Thursday because of Art Walk Reno.

Every first Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., join us and see the works of local and regional artists on display in venues within the Arts District, between Liberty Street and Second Street, and Virginia Street and Arlington Avenue.

The walk officially begins at 5 p.m. at West Street Market, 148 West Street in downtown Reno.

There, you can purchase a ticket, for $5, which includes a raffle ticket and program for the evening. For $10 you can add a Art Spot glass and for $15 a limited edition hand painted glass from a local artist. Tickets are also available at Art Indeed!, 142 Bell St.

Each month, someone will walk away with a $200.00 voucher good towards any piece of art shown in the walk. There will be food and drink specials from participating businesses along the way.

“It was tremendously exciting last month to see people from all parts of Reno enjoying emerging artists and each other’s company at stop after stop,” said Eric Brooks, art walk curator. “This month will prove to be even more exciting, with so much new art to discover.”

A portion of all proceeds from Art Walk Reno will be donated to non-profit groups focused on art, education, and community.

Art Walk Reno is part of Art Spot Reno, the main portal for accessing information about what’s happening in Reno, Nevada’s dynamic arts scene.
